Miriam is the artist having schizophrenia. Having left the husband who started a romance with the young woman, Miriam travels alone in search of the earth of the dream. Captured by grief, she appears in an ancient basilica where prays and makes a promise to the devil. Having returned to the States, Miriam meets with the husband Gabriel again and they move to the remote house in the middle of the wood to begin new life. But the devil answers her prayer.
